About the academy
The Academy of Zamość is a public university which started its activity on 1 September 2021, pursuant to an act of the Polish Parliament of 8 July 2021. It is based on the Szymon Szymonowic State School of Higer Education in Zamość (2005-2021).
The academy’s authorities do their best to uphold the city’s distinguished academic tradition established by the Zamość Academy, which was founded by the Grand Hetman and Chancellor of the Crown Jan Zamoyski in 1594 and continued till 1784.
At present, the Academy of Zamość offers BA, BE, MA, and postgraduate courses.
The rector’s office is situated at Pereca 2, in the Old Town.
